About the position

IFS is growing rapidly, to keep our community connected and our clients and teams informed, we are looking for a full-time Marketing and Communication Specialist. You will be independently responsible for creating and managing all our internal and external communication. We are looking for a flexible and well-organized person who can multitask and prioritize supporting our Social Media and Internet-based programs and Information systems to our members and clients all over the world. You will work closely together with a colleague in the Philippines and in Belgium to optimize the marketing and communication strategy processes and lead and support different projects.

The main tasks/responsibilities will be:
  • Implementing, organizing and carrying out the annual communication plan in function of vision and objectives taking into account all different stakeholders.
  • Independently developing communications to position our brand and services on to the market and to keep our colleagues and clients informed over the whole group/world.
  • Build and support in launching our marketing strategies in various platforms including digital, print and through the internet.
  • Building out further our Social Media community and internet based platforms
  • Creating, writing and editing our company newsletters and other campaigns for clients
  • Collecting and reviewing articles sent in by our colleagues or members
  • Updating and weekly posting on our social media accounts
  • Keeping track of the Social Media Account members via administrative tasks
  • Depending on the growth of our business, other tasks might be assigned

What are we looking for:

  • At least 2-4 years working experience in a similar position is a must.
  • A Bachelor degree in marketing and communication or similar/related education
  • Able to communicate on a professional/near native level in the English language both written and oral
  • Someone who writes “light, fun and easily and can simplify complex data/content”
  • Able to work independently
  • Flexible mindset in working hours, no 9-5 mentality
  • Stress resistant and has initiative in handling tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong computer skills are a must
  • Teamplayer
  • Knowledge in Graphics Design is an advantage but not a requirement

about the position

As an account manager you are responsible for different clients and a fleet of vessels. You manage these on several levels. This is a full time position for someone who does not have a “9-5 mentality” due to the nature of the business. You will manage the fleet of vessels for mainly our Dutch clients from the Order request to the Invoicing process and all in between. Part of the job will also be to visit the clients and vessels of the clients. The main tasks/responsibilities will be on:
  • Ordering and Stock management
  • Vessel audits
  • Processing of inventories
  • Build strong business relationships with clients
  • Analyze and Resolve customer complaints regarding provisions
  • Responsible for representing IFS and communicating with the clients
  • Available to travel and respond to the vessels when the project requires

About the job requirements

  • At least 2-5 years working experience
  • Affinity with the Offshore and Marine industry
  • Able to work independently
  • Flexible Mindset
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Stress resistant
  • Affinity for working with different cultures and knowledge on their local habits/recipes
  • Able to communicate on a professional level in the Dutch and English language
  • Good communication skills, service orientated mindset
  • Willing to travel mostly within Europe and work from our Belgium office 2 times a week.
