Vacancy Marketing and Communication Coordinator - Antwerp, Belgium

We are looking for a Marketing & Communication Coordinator to join the Antwerp head office. You will be responsible for all IFS marketing and communication. You will work together with our marketing and communication agency Reputations. During your first months at IFS, Reputations will coach and support you where needed.


International Food Services is an independent worldwide food catering company for offshore and marine vessels. We have a big passion for food, people and data. IFS has offices in Antwerp, Poland, Singapore and Manila. With a dedicated team we try to make the difference for our clients.

We aim to increase our clients buying power by reducing waste and inefficiencies and providing data of consumption through our unique food monitoring system. In our training center in the Philippines and the Maritime Food lab in Antwerp we offer specialized training programs for cooks. We turn the galley crew in a dedicated team that cooks with passion and know-how resulting in tasty and healthy cuisine. This way we lift up the wellbeing and productivity on board. Not only do we take wellbeing on board to a higher level. Where possible we offer opportunities to people who are socially or economically in precarious situations. In our training center in the Philippines we structurally work with local street children.

Your assignment

We expect you to take on the following tasks:
  • Create and execute the marketing and communication plan in collaboration with Reputations
  • Roll out our new corporate identity: apply to all internal and external communication
  • Professionalize customer reporting
  • Communication with customers: presentations, newsletters, etc.
  • Pick up and communicate interesting and new projects within IFS and translate into marketing and communication actions
  • Social media channel management
  • Develop and roll out campaigns (e.g. Cook's Club, Chef of the year)
  • Website management (CMS Wordpress)
  • Internal communication: newsletter and internal channels (gathering information, copywriting, design, distribution)
  • Coordinating and managing the IFS colleague - graphic designer
  • You are the point of contact for all colleagues regarding their marketing and communication issues. You translate their questions into marketing ideas and concrete communication plans. You take care of the execution and are responsible for the final product.

  • You can maintain websites (CMS) and write texts for newsletters, brochures, press releases, etc.
  • You are a natural in social media, are aware of the latest developments and eager to use them.
  • You have experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • You have feeling with graphics (layout, technical requirements, delivery, ...), photography (basics image processing, ...) and video (editing, processing, ...) so that you can create content yourself or follow up on freelancers.
  • You have a graphic feel for assessing the layout of print products like brochures.
  • You are eager to learn and, if desired, to follow additional training and courses.


You have a bachelor or master degree in marketing or communication.

Vacancy Account Manager — Netherlands

about the position

As an account manager you are responsible for different clients and a fleet of vessels. You manage these on several levels. This is a full time position for someone who does not have a “9-5 mentality” due to the nature of the business. You will manage the fleet of vessels for mainly our Dutch clients from the Order request to the Invoicing process and all in between. Part of the job will also be to visit the clients and vessels of the clients. The main tasks/responsibilities will be on:
  • Ordering and Stock management
  • Vessel audits
  • Processing of inventories
  • Build strong business relationships with clients
  • Analyze and Resolve customer complaints regarding provisions
  • Responsible for representing IFS and communicating with the clients
  • Available to travel and respond to the vessels when the project requires

About the job requirements

  • At least 2-5 years working experience
