Starting from June IFS starts with its own community: the Cook's Club. All cooks who have been trained at IFS and work at IFS catering managed vessels can become a member of the Cook’s Club. Joshua Gabor, general manager of IFS Philippines, tells us all the details.
Who can join the Cook's Club?
Joshua: "All cooks who have been trained at IFS and work at IFS catering managed vessels can become a member of the Cook’s Club.”
What can you do as a member?
Joshua: "As a member you get access to all IFS tools and support that make life easier in the kitchen: apps, digital cook books with movies... Cooks can share information and ask for help from IFS or other cooks."
How can cooks apply for the Cook’s Club?
Joshua: “You can subscribe on the IFS website and after IFS approval you will receive your membership card.”
Why was the Cook's Club founded?
Joshua: "Chefs are the heart of IFS. We want to give them recognition and support. As we want to reward hard work, all members of the Cook’s Club can apply for a star. More good appraisals and years of experience equals more stars. They will be awarded by the end of this year."
"Next year IFS will be looking for the Cook of the Year. All clients or their respective manning agencies will be given the option to nominate their top 3 IFS best Chief Cooks for the competition."
