The IFS Academy, providing each ship's cook the right tool to become a better cook
Having the right ingredients is one thing; preparing a good meal is another. In too many occasions the served food does not seem to meet the expectations of the crew-staff. Preparing the right meal is a basic requirement for a highly motivated and good atmosphere on board of your ship.
The IFS Academy maritime ship's cook trainings solves possible unpleasant “cooking” surprises and makes sure all culinary, hygiene and health requirements are met. We offer a diverse range of courses including :
- basic cooking principles,
- chief cooking course,
- bakery course,
- steward and overall kitchen management training,
Besides the standard offer we can always, in close cooperation with the customer, define a custom-made training. All of these can be given at our Manila based training center or at the premises of the customer.
Next to the already existing training centers and the newly created cooking manuals, The IFS Academy, will pretty soon be available online. This unique platform will become an easily accessible online experience, where both supervisors, students and most of all ship's cook graduates will get access to a wealth of useful and practical maritime cooking information such as upcoming training courses, IFS cooking experience, new recipes, and numerous new resources and helpful goodies. Academy graduates will now have reference resources available to them at all times during and after their training to help keep them on the track for success.
