About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role, you
will be involved in the day-to-day accounting function focusing on Accounts Payable, liaising with vendors and staff
on payments and accounting matters, monthly closing and reporting. Ensure that accounting procedures and
records are in compliance with acceptable accounting standards, practices and internal policies.

The main tasks/responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for processing of all invoices and payments and ensuring that correct expenses are paid
    accurately and promptly to the correct payees within stipulated guidelines. Ensure that invoices are properly
    recorded in the accounting system.
  • Perform vendor checks/updates and bank accounts verifications to ensure payments are made to valid
    recipients.
  •  Liaise and communicate with vendors, staff etc. on payment related, accounting and other queries. Follow
    up on queries and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Monitor bank balances to ensure that there are sufficient funds to meet future finance obligations.
  • Prepare AP Ageing Report, Statements of Accounts, Bank & other reconciliations and analysis of accounts
    for monthly, termly and yearly closing.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly GST reporting and statistics for Government departments. Ensure that GST
    are accounted correctly, and expenses are recorded in correct accounts and budget codes.
  • Prepare relevant journals, schedules and reports for accounts closing.
  • Assist in any other accounting, budgeting & accounts payable matters, ad-hoc analysis/ reports as assigned.
  • Liaise with external parties and other departments in connection with the accounting and financial matters.
  • Be prepared to support other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Minimum Diploma / Bachelor degree in Accountancy, Finance Management or similar
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in accounts payable
  • Fluent in English on a professional level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Excel, and accounting systems (Knowledge of WinBooks / Exact
    Globe+ accounting system is an added advantage).
  • Knowledge of GST and withholding tax is a +
  • Good understanding of internal controls and corporate governance
  • A good team player with a positive attitude, who can take initiative.
  • Able to provide guidance to team members.
  • Motivated self-starter, resourceful and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Keen to learn with the ability to engage and work with other department staff and across different support
    functions.
  • Meticulous with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, enjoy interacting and communicating with people.
  • Pleasant disposition with good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Resourceful in managing competing priorities, able to multi-task and meeting tight deadlines.

Over de functie

Om ons financiële team te versterken zijn wij per direct op zoek naar een accountant voor de IFS bedrijvengroep. In deze functie werk je nauw samen met de CFO en bent verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse A tot Z uitvoering van de boekhouding van de verschillende Belgische dochterondernemingen tot en met de maand- en jaarafsluitingen. Hierbij hoort het volgende takenpakket;

  • Het voeren van een volledige boekhouding, van A tot Z
  • Controle van het inputluik
  • Voorbereiding van de vennootschapsbelasting
  • Het beheren en opvolgen van zowel debiteuren als crediteuren
  • Het opstellen van periodieke aangiftes, waaronder BTW
  • Het voorbereiden en opmaken van maandelijkse rapportages
  • Het ondersteunen, voorbereiden en opmaken van de jaarafsluiting
  • De uitvoering van ondersteunende taken en ad hoc taken voor de CFO met doel om de financiële processen te optimaliseren
  • Verantwoordelijk voor de voorbereiding van de controle van de revisoren voor IFS en alle dochterondernemingen

Waar we naar op zoek zijn

  • Bachelor accountancy-fiscaliteit
  • Minimaal 5-10 jaar werkervaring bv op een boekhoudkantoor
  • Kennis van de boekhoudnormen (Belgium GAAP)
  • Perfecte kennis van accounting tools (bij voorkeur Exact Globe +)
  • Goede kennis van IT-tools (MS Office)
  • Goede kennis van fiscale, juridische en sociale normen
  • Goede analytische vaardigheden hebben en samenvattend denken
  • Zeer goede beheersing van de Nederlands taal en het Engels (schriftelijk en mondeling)
  • Goed met stress kunnen omgaan
  • Je kan zelfstandig werken, maar waar nodig ook goed functioneren in teamverband.
  • Flexibiliteit, geen 9-5 mentaliteit

Catering Auditor

About the position

IFS is growing rapidly, and to make sure our services are guaranteed to our clients, we are looking for a full-time IFS catering auditor who will be responsible for daily ship visits to do a full inventory and stock count and a catering audit on board our clients' vessels. The main job would be to represent our company, make a proper inventory, and advise the crew on board on the IFS operating procedures and way of working. With a focus on safety, quality, variety, and waste management.

 

Within this position, you will work closely with our different departments internally, such as operations, crewing, and procurement, as well as externally. You will be in contact with our clients, catering crew, suppliers, and captains to give your support where you can. Location: you would mainly work in the Benelux or sometimes at our Maritime Food Lab in Antwerp. In due time, we might ask you to also travel abroad, depending on where the client vessel comes in to perform the stock count and audit there.

The main tasks/responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting stock takes according to the IFS standards and add these in to the IFS system
  • Conducting audits against a range of maritime catering standards and create the audit report in our system
  • Build strong business relationships with our clients
  • Available at all times to travel to the vessels when they arrive in a nearby port

What we are looking for:

  • Fluency in Dutch and English on a professional level
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
  • 5+ years of knowledge and working experience within the catering industry as a Chief Cook or similar position
  • Good hygiene legislation knowledge. (HACCP)
  • A cooking degree in international cuisine and preferably, knowledgeable of other cuisines will be a plus
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable and Flexible work mentality
  • No 9-5 mentality

Vacancy Account Manager — Netherlands

about the position

As an account manager you are responsible for different clients and a fleet of vessels. You manage these on several levels. This is a full time position for someone who does not have a “9-5 mentality” due to the nature of the business. You will manage the fleet of vessels for mainly our Dutch clients from the Order request to the Invoicing process and all in between. Part of the job will also be to visit the clients and vessels of the clients. The main tasks/responsibilities will be on:

  • Ordering and Stock management
  • Vessel audits
  • Processing of inventories
  • Build strong business relationships with clients
  • Analyze and Resolve customer complaints regarding provisions
  • Responsible for representing IFS and communicating with the clients
  • Available to travel and respond to the vessels when the project requires
