Chicken curry with rice

Published on 18 October 2011 in Recipes

There are thousand ways to prepare a curry. It varies by country, family, taste... .  The curry recipe mentioned in this blog post is a typical European (UK) preparation.  If you want to learn more on other curries such as Indian, Thai,...curries do not hesitate to get in touch with our catering instructor or come back to visit our dedicated IFS Academy website, providing you with a wealth of useful naval cooking recipes.

How to prepare

  • Stew onions and apples in a pot, singer with curry powder and white flour
  • Add the chicken legs and chicken stock. Bring to boil.
  • Remove the chicken when done, keep warm.
  • Blend the sauce in a blender and sieve. Season the sauce and finish with some cream.
  • Serve with rice and a cucumber salad.

Sometimes I add ginger, garlic, cilantro to the sauce or I replace the cream by coconut cream.  That way I always discover new tastes!

bon appétit
